Fund Assessment – optimal investment processes
A
rigorous, systematic selection procedure with a consistent logic regarding the profit
and risk aspects, is the basis of the investment process – a process we call fund
assessment. The optimal selection of target institutional funds as investments for
the various funds of the Deutsche Finance
group is the basis of the of these funds’ success. Consequently when selecting
investments an extremely high standard is set for the strategic management
approaches of the various target funds.
The
expertise and strategic knowledge of experienced specialists, all with an
excellent track record, is bundled within Deutsche
Institutional Advisors GmbH. These specialists use their outstanding international
network of connections with initiators of target institutional funds, and
concentrate on providing advice for innovative finance strategies and at the
same time ensure access to institutional products with only limited availability
to the market at large. The basis of the investment consulting for the Deutsche Finance group funds is the
development of strategies taking adequate consideration of risks (balanced
profit/risk ratio), a selection of suitable target investments, due diligence
analyses for these investments and finally transparent reporting and controlling
procedures.
Since
its formation, the Deutsche Institutional
Advisors team has, for example, in the course of creating a portfolio for a
client reviewed to date the suitability of more than 700 institutional funds with
a total volume of more than €140 bn, and also carried out due diligence
analyses for more than 120 funds, and placed investments of approximately €2.6
bn in more than 60 institutional funds. In 2007, for the first time in the
history of the IPD Real Estate Awards, five awards were made to the same
company, in this case the management team of Deutsche Institutional Advisors.
